PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Differing resolution for canceled matches. Polymarket resolves win markets to 'No' upon cancellation, while Limitless resolves the Draw market to 'Yes' and Win markets to 'No'.Hero tip: Consider the cancellation risk when trading. Limitless's Draw market is more likely to resolve positively in a cancellation scenario than Polymarket's win markets.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve "No". This applies to all win/loss markets.
  • Limitless: If the match is not completed...and no make-up match is scheduled, this market will resolve "YES" (Draw) or "NO" (Win). This means a canceled match will resolve to 'YES' for the Draw market.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This event is for the upcoming Primeira Liga game, scheduled for Sunday, November 1, 2026 between Académico de Viseu FC and Rio Ave FC.

Limitless

This market resolves to "YES" if the listed club wins after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, excluding extra time and penalty shootouts, in the match scheduled for November 1, 2026, 18:00 UTC. Otherwise, it will resolve to "NO." If the match is postponed, this market will remain open until the match has been completed. If the match is not completed as scheduled for any reason (for example, if it is abandoned, canceled, or awarded), and an official final result is recognized by the governing body or event organizers, this market will resolve based on that result. If no official final result is recognized and no make-up match is scheduled, this market will resolve "NO." Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds, like those found for this market, often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and aim to profit from margins, while prediction markets are driven by individuals wagering their own capital. This can lead to discrepancies, particularly when public sentiment diverges from expert analysis. Often, prediction markets are more accurate at forecasting events than traditional methods, though this isn't always the case.

Differences in pricing between Polymarket and Limitless for this market can arise from several factors. Polymarket and Limitless can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform has its own user base, trading fees, and liquidity, all of which can influence price discovery. Furthermore, the specific market structures—how orders are matched and limits are set—may vary. The differing probabilities reflect the individual risk assessments and information available to traders on each platform for the Académico de Viseu vs Rio Ave match. Market sentiment and volume can also diverge, creating temporary price discrepancies.
