Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines based on statistical models and their own risk assessment, while this market allows individuals to express their beliefs and potentially identify mispriced probabilities. If a significant discrepancy exists between the two, opportunities for arbitrage may arise. It's important to note that prediction market odds can be more dynamic, reacting quickly to new information and shifts in sentiment, whereas sportsbook odds may adjust less frequently.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the market price adjusts to reflect the aggregated sentiment. The current price reflects what traders are willing to pay for a share representing the likelihood of either Academia Anzoategui or Carabobo FC scoring first in the match.

This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on which team scores the first goal in the Academia Anzoategui vs. Carabobo match. If no goals are scored, the market will resolve as 'No Goal Scored'. The outcome will be determined by official match data and verified against credible public sources. The resolution process is designed to be transparent and objective, ensuring a fair and accurate outcome for all participants in this market.

Several factors could influence the odds in this market leading up to Oct 11, 2026. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Academia Anzoategui or Carabobo FC would likely have a significant impact. Changes in team form, recent match results, or tactical adjustments announced by the managers could also shift trader sentiment. Unexpected weather conditions on match day, or even pre-match commentary from analysts, could also contribute to price movements. Ultimately, any information that alters perceptions of each team's chances of scoring first has the potential to move this market.
