Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of informed traders, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public sentiment diverges from expert analysis. It’s common to see prediction markets incorporate information and adjust more rapidly to new developments than sportsbooks, offering a potentially more accurate assessment of probabilities.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust dynamically, reflecting the evolving consensus. The current price indicates what the collective market believes is the probability of a team scoring first in the second half of the AC Monza vs. Cagliari match.

This market resolves around Oct 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the market will determine which team scores the first goal in the second half of the AC Monza vs. Cagliari match. The result will be based on official match data and verified against credible public sources. The platform will then finalize the outcome and distribute payouts to those who correctly predicted the first team to score in the second half.

Several factors could influence trading activity in this market before resolution. Late-breaking news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either AC Monza or Cagliari could significantly shift the odds. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments announced by the managers, or even weather conditions on match day could also impact trader sentiment. Unexpected lineup announcements or in-match events during the first half of the game are also likely to cause movement, as traders react to new information and reassess the probabilities of each team scoring first in the second half.
