If a significant number of people believe a sportsbook is underrating a particular outcome, they can express that view by trading on Kalshi. This can lead to differences in implied probabilities. It’s common to see prediction markets move independently of sportsbook lines, especially as new information emerges or public perception shifts regarding the Johnson vs Susurkaev fight.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book, where traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of each outcome. The price of a contract reflects the market’s current assessment of that outcome’s likelihood. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the evolving consensus. The market depth indicates how much volume is available at different price points, providing insight into potential price movements.
