Generally, prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and need to account for profit margins, while this market is driven by traders directly expressing their beliefs about the likelihood of each team reaching the final. If there's a significant discrepancy, it may suggest that the market participants have access to information or insights not fully incorporated into sportsbook lines, or that differing risk appetites are at play. It’s common to see prediction markets more accurately forecast outcomes than traditional methods.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in whether a particular team will reach the final. As more shares are bought for a team, the price of those shares increases, reflecting a higher probability of success. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome. The market is driven by supply and demand, meaning that strong conviction and trading volume can significantly impact the odds.

Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team pairings, or significant performance in lead-up tournaments could all impact trader sentiment. Unexpected upsets in earlier rounds of the championships, or announcements about player strategies, could also cause price fluctuations. Furthermore, large trades by influential market participants could create momentum and move the odds, reflecting a change in collective belief about which teams are most likely to reach the final.
