During the White Sox vs Blue Jays baseball game on July 17, 2026, resolution depends on whether official broadcast commentators (play-by-play, color commentators, rules analysts, or sideline reporters) mention specific words or phrases during their commentary. The game will be resolved using the national broadcast if available, otherwise the Blue Jays' home broadcast.
Resolution is determined by monitoring official broadcast commentary from play-by-play announcers, color commentators, rules analysts, and sideline reporters during the White Sox vs Blue Jays game scheduled for July 17, 2026. Commentary counting begins following the first pitch and continues through game conclusion, including extra innings if applicable. Commentary ends following the umpire's decision on any final play review. The national broadcast will be used for resolution; if unavailable, the home team's local broadcast applies. Exact phrases or their plural and possessive forms must be used; grammatical and tense inflections do not affect matching. Commercial breaks do not count, but promotional content within the broadcast does. Commentary from players, coaches, umpires, guests, halftime reporters, or any individuals outside the official broadcast team is excluded. Resolution uses video evidence primarily, with official transcripts as backup if consensus cannot be reached. If the game is cancelled or fails to qualify, the "Event does not qualify" market resolves to Yes and all other markets resolve to No. If postponed and rescheduled within 14 calendar days with announcement by the following day, markets remain open.
Prediction market odds reflect real-money commitments from traders who research announcer patterns, historical commentary trends, and game context. Unlike traditional analyst forecasts, this market aggregates dispersed knowledge from many participants betting their own capital. Analysts may rely on limited samples or subjective judgment, whereas traders in this market continuously update prices based on new evidence. The dynamic pricing mechanism often surfaces insights that static forecasts miss, particularly for niche outcomes like specific announcer phrases.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different announcer statements. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Prices move in real time based on supply and demand, with each outcome ranging from near-zero to near-100 cents per share. Higher prices reflect stronger trader confidence that an announcer will say a particular phrase. Traders can enter limit or market orders to express their views, and the spread between bid and ask prices tightens as volume and interest grow.
This market resolves around Jul 31, 2026, after the White Sox vs Blue Jays game concludes and broadcast recordings are available for review. The outcome is verified against credible public sources, including official game broadcasts and reliable sports media archives. Once the event is confirmed and announcer statements are documented, this market settles based on whether the predicted phrases were actually spoken during the game. Traders should monitor the broadcast carefully to validate their positions.
Key catalysts include roster changes, injury announcements, and recent team performance that may influence announcer talking points. Pre-game media coverage and analyst commentary often foreshadow themes broadcasters will emphasize. Weather conditions, playoff implications, and historical matchup narratives can shift trader expectations about which phrases are most likely. As game time approaches, updated odds from sportsbooks and social media sentiment may also drive repricing. Finally, any breaking news about players or coaching decisions could reshape the probability of specific announcer statements.
