This event group tracks which show will rank #1 on the US Netflix Top 10 TV shows list for the week ending August 25, 2026. Multiple markets across Kalshi and Polymarket are resolving based on this ranking.
Netflix is expected to update its Top 10 TV shows list on top10.netflix.com on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, 3:00 PM ET, reflecting viewership from the previous week (Monday to Sunday). This market will resolve based on which show this update ranks as the #1 US Netflix show. If multiple shows tie for #1, this market will resolve according to the show whose listed title comes first alphabetically. The ranking is based on total views in the United States, as reported by Netflix for TV shows. If the top10.netflix.com update does not occur by August 28, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other".
The event determines the top-ranked US Netflix show for the week ending the Sunday before August 25, 2026, based on the chart published on August 25, 2026. Each market corresponds to a specific show or episode, resolving to 'Yes' if that entry occupies the number one position on the Netflix Top 10 US Show chart for that week. All markets share a common secondary rule structure: Netflix charts update on Tuesdays, so trading will close at 11:59 PM ET the Monday before the chart publication date. This timing ensures all participants are assessing the same data set when the market settles. Additionally, all markets explicitly note that neither Netflix nor Kalshi endorses these products, and any references to Netflix branding are purely descriptive and not indicative of affiliation or endorsement.
This market resolves around Aug 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The leading show is determined by official Netflix rankings for that week, providing a clear, data-driven close to the betting period.
Several signals could shift this market before Aug 25, 2026. Major Netflix content drops — such as new episodes, surprise releases, or high-profile premieres — might boost viewership for specific shows. Media coverage, social media buzz, and audience engagement metrics also play a role, as they influence weekly streaming rankings. Any last-minute changes to release schedules or marketing pushes could alter outcomes. Additionally, competitive performance from other streaming services may divert viewers, impacting the rankings. Traders will watch real-time viewership reports and platform announcements closely as Aug 25, 2026 approaches.
