This event group tracks which movie will rank #1 on Netflix's Global Top 10 Movies list for the week ending August 25, 2026. Markets resolve based on Netflix's official chart published on August 25, 2026.
Netflix is expected to update its global Top 10 movies list on top10.netflix.com on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, 3:00 PM ET, reflecting viewership from the previous week (Monday to Sunday). This market will resolve based on which movie this update ranks as the #1 global Netflix movie. If multiple movies tie for #1, this market will resolve according to the movie whose listed title comes first alphabetically. The ranking is based on total views globally, as reported by Netflix for Global Top 10 Movies (English only). If the top10.netflix.com update does not occur by August 28, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other".
Each market resolves based on whether a specific movie ranks #1 on Netflix's Top 10 Global Movie chart for the week ending the Sunday before August 25, 2026, with the chart publishing on Tuesday, August 25. All markets share identical secondary rules regarding chart update timing and closing deadlines. Netflix has not endorsed these markets, and any references to Netflix are purely descriptive, with no implied affiliation or endorsement. The resolution hinges solely on the publicly available Netflix chart data for the designated week.
This market resolves around Aug 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The winning title will be the film with the highest global Netflix streaming numbers for that week, as reported by trusted entertainment data providers. After verification, all platforms will settle based on that official result, closing the market and determining final payouts for participants.
Several signals could shift odds in this market before it settles. Major marketing pushes or star endorsements in the coming days may boost a film's chances, while negative buzz like technical issues could hurt its ranking. Weekly streaming chart updates from industry trackers and spikes in social media conversations often move trader sentiment on Polymarket and Kalshi. Any last-minute release changes or platform exclusives could also reshape expectations, so keep an eye on news and volume trends as Aug 25, 2026 approaches.
