This event group tracks which movie will rank #2 on the US Netflix Top 10 Movies list for the week ending August 25, 2026. Markets across different platforms are resolving based on Netflix's official chart ranking for that specific week.
Netflix is expected to update its Top 10 movies list on top10.netflix.com on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, 3:00 PM ET, reflecting viewership from the previous week (Monday to Sunday). This market will resolve based on which movie this update ranks as the #2 US Netflix movie. Movies will be primarily ranked by chart ranking. If two or more movies are tied on chart ranking, ties will be broken by alphabetical order of the movies' listed titles. This market will resolve to the movie that occupies the second-highest finishing position after applying this ranking. The ranking is based on total views in the United States, as reported by Netflix for US Top 10 Movies. If the top10.netflix.com update does not occur by August 28, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other".
Each market resolves based on whether a specified movie appears at the #2 position on the Netflix Top 10 US Movie chart published on August 25, 2026. The chart reflects viewing data for the week ending the previous Sunday, with charts updating on Tuesdays. All markets close at 11:59 PM ET the day before the chart's publication. These markets are independent speculations and carry no endorsement from Netflix; references to Netflix are used descriptively and do not imply any affiliation or approval.
This market resolves around Aug 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final ranking will be checked against official Netflix charts or trusted entertainment news sources that publish the weekly US streaming rankings, ensuring an objective and transparent close for all participants.
Several signals could shift probabilities before this market settles — major social media buzz around a new release, significant media coverage, viral moments for a film’s cast, or last-minute changes in Netflix’s algorithm or featured promotions. Any unexpected surge in viewership or a competing title dropping out of the top spot can also cause rapid re-pricing in the final days leading to Aug 25, 2026.
