On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each team's probability of winning. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share costs between 0 and 1 dollar, with the current price reflecting the crowd's aggregate belief about that team's championship odds. As traders buy shares in a particular team, its price rises; selling pressure lowers it. This continuous repricing ensures the market stays responsive to new information, tournament results, and shifting sentiment throughout the event.
Several factors can shift odds significantly before resolution. Key roster changes, player injuries, or surprise roster additions announced before the tournament begins often trigger sharp repricing. Early tournament results—dominant performances or unexpected upsets—typically cause the largest moves as traders update their win probability estimates. Pre-tournament scrims, team practice footage, or coach statements may also influence sentiment. Additionally, meta shifts in the Mobile Legends patch, regional qualifier outcomes, and expert predictions shared on esports media can drive sustained buying or selling pressure on particular teams.
