PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Polymarket and Limitless diverge on forfeit/walkover treatment and deadline logic. Polymarket treats forfeits/walkovers as 50-50 outcomes; Limitless treats them as wins for the declared winner. Polymarket uses a relative 7-day delay threshold; Limitless uses an absolute calendar deadline.Hero tip: If a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover occurs, Polymarket markets will resolve 50-50 while Limitless will resolve to the declared winner. Traders should monitor official HLTV announcements closely. For timing, note that Polymarket's 7-day window (July 22, 2026) is earlier than Limitless's August 15, 2026 deadline. If the match is delayed but play begins within 7 days, Polymarket will resolve on actual results; Limitless will also resolve on actual results if an official result is published by August 15.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Forfeit/walkover/disqualification outcomes resolve to 50-50 for match winner and map winner markets. Delay beyond 7 days from scheduled date without play beginning = 50-50. Incomplete maps = 50-50. Requires actual rounds played for round handicap and round total markets. Resolution source: HLTV within 2 hours of conclusion, or credible consensus with video evidence.
  • Limitless: Forfeit/walkover/disqualification outcomes resolve to the team declared the winner, regardless of match start status. Absolute deadline: August 15, 2026, 23:59 UTC. If no official result by deadline, resolves to 'Other'. Covers only match winner (paiN vs Phantom binary outcomes), not individual maps or round details.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. Polymarket

This market refers to the Counter-Strike Upper Bracket Quarterfinals 1 match between paiN and Phantom in the Stake Ranked Episode 3 Playoffs, initially scheduled for July 15 at 1:30PM ET. This market will resolve to "paiN" if paiN win the match against Phantom. This market will resolve to "Phantom" if Phantom win the match against paiN. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Limitless

This market refers to the match between paiN and Phantom in the Stake Ranked Episode 3 2026, scheduled for Jul 15, 2026. This market resolves to "YES" if the team named in the title wins in the specified match. Otherwise, the market will resolve to "NO." If either team loses by forfeit, disqualification, or walkover for any reason, this market will resolve to the team declared the winner, regardless of whether the match has started or when the decision is made. If the match is not completed with an official result by August 15, 2026, 23:59 UTC, the market will resolve to "Other."

Frequently asked questions

This dashboard aggregates prediction market data across Polymarket and Limitless for the paiN vs Phantom CS:GO playoff match, enabling traders to monitor real-time odds on multiple outcomes simultaneously. The cross-platform view surfaces the leading predictions on each venue, helping you spot consensus or divergence in how the community is pricing this best-of-three matchup. By tracking both platforms together, you gain visibility into which outcomes are drawing the most conviction and volume, and whether sharp money is moving odds in either direction ahead of the event.

Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price events differently. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in margin, while prediction markets reflect the aggregated belief of traders who have real capital at stake. Prediction market odds often react faster to breaking news and tend to be more efficient over time because traders profit by spotting mispricings. However, sportsbooks may offer tighter spreads and more liquidity in certain matchups. Comparing both sources helps identify value and understand where consensus lies across different betting venues.

Key catalysts include roster changes, player injuries or substitutions, recent team performance and map pool trends, and any official tournament updates. Scrim results and community sentiment shifts can also influence odds as traders reassess team form. Major patches or map changes in the competitive meta may favor one team's playstyle over the other. Media coverage, betting syndicates entering the market, and sharp money movements on either platform can trigger rapid repricing. Monitor esports news outlets and team social channels for announcements that could shift expectations before the match begins.
