Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
All three markets across Polymarket and Kalshi resolve based on the official final result of the New York Red Bulls vs. D.C. United SC match on April 22, 2026, after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, with consistent handling of postponements and cancellations.
Primary resolution logic:
Official MLS Soccer statistics as recognized by the governing body or event organizers (mlssoccer.com); if unavailable within 2 hours of conclusion, consensus of credible reporting.
Core resolution logic:
Market resolves based on the final outcome of the match after 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time only (no extra time or penalties).
Three mutually exclusive outcomes are possible: New York Red Bulls win (YES on NYRB market, NO on DC market, YES on Kalshi Tie/DC market if New York wins), D.C. United win (YES on DC market, NO on NYRB market, YES on Kalshi Tie/DC market if DC wins), or Draw (YES on Draw market, NO on both NYRB and DC markets, YES on Kalshi Tie/DC market if Tie occurs).
If the match is postponed, all markets remain open until the match is completed.
If the match is canceled with no make-up game, the Draw market resolves YES and both NYRB and DC markets resolve NO.
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Match Cancellation: If the match is canceled entirely with no make-up game scheduled, the Draw market resolves YES (treating cancellation as a draw outcome), while the NYRB and DC win markets resolve NO.
Postponement: If the match is postponed, all markets remain open and unresolved until the match is actually played and completed.
Scope Limitation: Resolution is based exclusively on the result after 90 minutes plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shootouts (if applicable) are not considered.
Timing:
Resolution occurs upon official publication of final match statistics by MLS or event organizers, or within 2 hours after the match conclusion via consensus of credible reporting if official statistics are not published.
