Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
All three platforms employ identical resolution logic: the official NHL-declared 2026 Stanley Cup champion determines outcomes, with a July 1, 2026 deadline for completion; cancellation or non-completion resolves to Other/No across all platforms.
Primary resolution logic:
Official NHL information; credible reporting consensus as secondary source
Core resolution logic:
Resolution occurs when the 2026 Stanley Cup winner is officially declared by the NHL
Individual team markets (Polymarket, Predict) resolve YES if that team wins; NO otherwise
Limitless categorical markets resolve to the winning team name; non-listed teams or cancellation resolve to Other
If the 2026 Stanley Cup is permanently canceled or not completed by July 1, 2026 (inclusive), all markets resolve to Other (Limitless) or No (Polymarket/Predict)
Impossible outcomes (team dissolution, league rule changes preventing participation) resolve to No
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Championship Cancellation: If the 2026 NHL Stanley Cup is permanently canceled or suspended beyond July 1, 2026, Limitless resolves to Other; Polymarket and Predict resolve to No for all team-specific markets.
Non-Listed Team Winner: Limitless Other market resolves YES if a team not on the Limitless list wins (e.g., Utah Mammoth, Nashville Predators, or any team not explicitly listed). Polymarket and Predict do not have explicit coverage for all 32 NHL teams, so unlisted teams would resolve to No on those platforms.
Team Dissolution or Relocation: If a team ceases to exist or relocates before the 2026 season, markets for that team resolve to No (Polymarket/Predict) or contribute to Other (Limitless).
Deadline Boundary: The deadline is July 1, 2026 (inclusive). If the Stanley Cup Finals extend into July and conclude on or before July 1, 2026, resolution proceeds normally. If Finals are not completed by end of July 1, 2026, markets resolve to Other/No.
Timing:
Resolution occurs immediately upon official NHL announcement of the 2026 Stanley Cup champion, or by July 1, 2026 (inclusive) if the championship is not completed or is canceled.
