Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
Polymarket and Kalshi both resolve based on the official match outcome after 90 minutes plus stoppage time on April 12, 2026, with identical scope and primary resolution source from governing bodies or credible reporting consensus.
Primary resolution logic:
Official Bundesliga statistics and the governing body (DFB) or event organizers; if unavailable within 2 hours post-match, credible reporting consensus.
Core resolution logic:
The match outcome is determined solely by the result after 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, excluding extra time and penalties.
Exactly three mutually exclusive outcomes exist: 1. FC Köln wins, SV Werder Bremen wins, or the match ends in a draw.
Each platform offers markets covering all three outcomes: Polymarket offers separate YES/NO markets for draw, Köln win, and Bremen win; Kalshi offers a single market resolving YES for any of the three outcomes.
If the match is postponed, all markets remain open until the match is completed.
If the match is canceled with no make-up game, Polymarket's draw market resolves YES and the win markets resolve NO; Kalshi's market resolves YES (as a tie is a valid outcome).
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Match Postponement: If the match is postponed, all markets remain open until the match is completed. Resolution is delayed but the underlying logic remains unchanged.
Match Cancellation Without Make-Up: Polymarket treats cancellation as a draw (draw market YES, win markets NO). Kalshi treats any outcome including a tie as YES, so cancellation resolves YES. Both interpretations align with the principle that no winner is determined.
Resolution Source Fallback: If official Bundesliga statistics are not published within 2 hours of match conclusion, both platforms permit resolution via consensus of credible reporting sources.
Timing:
Resolution occurs upon official publication of the final match result by Bundesliga or the governing body, or within 2 hours post-match via credible reporting consensus if official statistics are delayed.
