Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
All three markets across Polymarket and Kalshi resolve based on the official match outcome (win, loss, or draw) after 90 minutes plus stoppage time on April 21, 2026, with consistent handling of postponements and cancellations.
Primary resolution logic:
Official statistics from the EFL (English Football League) as the governing body for the Championship, or consensus of credible reporting if official statistics are not published within 2 hours of match conclusion.
Core resolution logic:
Market resolves YES if West Bromwich Albion FC wins the match after 90 minutes plus stoppage time.
Market resolves YES if Watford FC wins the match after 90 minutes plus stoppage time.
Market resolves YES if the match ends in a draw after 90 minutes plus stoppage time.
Exactly one of the three outcomes (West Brom win, Watford win, or draw) will occur and resolve YES; the other two resolve NO.
Extra time and penalties are excluded from resolution scope.
If the match is postponed, all markets remain open until the match is completed.
If the match is canceled with no make-up game, the draw market resolves YES and the win markets resolve NO.
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Postponement: If the match is postponed, all markets remain open and unresolved until the rescheduled match is completed.
Cancellation Without Make-Up: If the match is canceled entirely with no make-up game scheduled, the draw market resolves YES (treating cancellation as a non-decisive outcome), while both win markets resolve NO.
Resolution Source Fallback: If the EFL does not publish official statistics within 2 hours of match conclusion, resolution defaults to consensus of credible reporting sources.
Timing:
Resolution occurs upon official EFL announcement of the final match result after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, or within 2 hours thereafter if using credible reporting consensus.
