Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
Both Polymarket and Kalshi use identical resolution logic: the market resolves based on the official match outcome (Viking win, Brann win, or draw) after 90 minutes plus stoppage time on April 18, 2026, with the same primary source (official governing body statistics) and identical postponement/cancellation handling.
Primary resolution logic:
Official statistics from the Eliteserien (Norwegian football governing body) or event organizers; if unavailable within 2 hours post-match, credible reporting consensus.
Core resolution logic:
Market resolves YES if Viking FK wins the match after 90 minutes plus stoppage time.
Market resolves YES if SK Brann wins the match after 90 minutes plus stoppage time.
Market resolves YES if the match ends in a draw after 90 minutes plus stoppage time.
Exactly one of the three outcomes will occur and exactly one corresponding market will resolve YES.
Extra time and penalties are excluded from resolution scope.
If the match is postponed, all markets remain open until the match is completed.
If the match is canceled with no make-up game, Viking and Brann win markets resolve NO, and the draw market resolves YES.
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Match Postponement: If the match is postponed, all markets remain open and unresolved until the match is actually played on a future date.
Match Cancellation Without Makeup: If the match is canceled entirely with no scheduled makeup game, the Viking win and Brann win markets resolve NO, while the draw market resolves YES.
Resolution Source Timing: Primary resolution uses official Eliteserien statistics. If official statistics are not published within 2 hours after match conclusion, credible reporting consensus may be used as fallback.
Timing:
Resolution occurs upon official match completion and publication of final statistics by the Eliteserien or event organizers, or within 2 hours thereafter via credible reporting consensus if official statistics are delayed.
