Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
All platforms resolve based on the official match outcome (win, loss, or draw) within 90 minutes plus stoppage time on April 18, 2026, with consistent handling of postponements and cancellations.
Primary resolution logic:
Official A-League statistics as recognized by the governing body or event organizers (a-league.com.au); if unavailable within 2 hours post-match, credible reporting consensus may be used.
Core resolution logic:
The match outcome is determined by the result after 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time only (no extra time or penalties).
Three mutually exclusive outcomes exist: Sydney FC wins, Perth Glory FC wins, or the match ends in a draw.
Polymarket Draw market resolves YES if draw, NO otherwise; Perth Win market resolves YES if Perth wins, NO otherwise; Sydney Win market resolves YES if Sydney wins, NO otherwise.
Kalshi markets resolve YES for whichever outcome occurs (Sydney win, Perth win, or tie).
If the match is postponed, all markets remain open until completion.
If the match is canceled with no make-up game, Polymarket Draw resolves YES and Win markets resolve NO; Kalshi markets do not resolve (cancellation is not an outcome option).
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Match Cancellation: If the match is canceled entirely with no rescheduled make-up game, Polymarket's draw market resolves YES (treating cancellation as a draw-equivalent), while Polymarket's win markets resolve NO. Kalshi has no explicit cancellation clause and would likely remain unresolved or require platform discretion.
Postponement and Rescheduling: If the match is postponed, all markets remain open and do not resolve until the match is actually played, regardless of how long the delay extends.
Resolution Source Fallback: If official A-League statistics are not published within 2 hours after match conclusion, both platforms permit resolution based on consensus of credible reporting sources.
Timing:
Resolution occurs upon official publication of the final match result by the A-League or governing body, or within 2 hours post-match via credible reporting consensus if official sources are delayed.
