Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
Both Polymarket and Kalshi resolve based on the official outcome of the Sheffield United vs. Blackburn Rovers match on April 22, 2026, after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, with identical handling of postponements and cancellations.
Primary resolution logic:
Official EFL Championship statistics and governing body records, with fallback to credible reporting consensus if official statistics are not published within 2 hours of match conclusion.
Core resolution logic:
Market resolves YES if Sheffield United wins the match within 90 minutes plus stoppage time.
Market resolves YES if Blackburn Rovers wins the match within 90 minutes plus stoppage time.
Market resolves YES if the match ends in a draw within 90 minutes plus stoppage time.
Exactly one of the three outcome markets will resolve YES.
If the match is postponed, all markets remain open until the match is completed.
If the match is canceled entirely with no make-up game, the draw market resolves YES and the win markets resolve NO.
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Match Postponement: If the match is postponed, all markets remain open and unresolved until the rescheduled match is completed. Resolution occurs based on the final outcome of the completed match.
Match Cancellation Without Makeup: If the match is canceled entirely with no makeup game scheduled, the draw market resolves YES while both win markets resolve NO.
Extra Time and Penalties: Resolution is based only on the outcome after 90 minutes plus stoppage time. Extra time and penalty shootouts are not considered for resolution purposes.
Official Statistics Delay: If official EFL statistics are not published within 2 hours of match conclusion, resolution may be based on consensus of credible reporting sources.
Timing:
Resolution occurs upon official publication of the final match result by the EFL or governing body, or within 2 hours after match conclusion via credible reporting consensus if official statistics are delayed.
