Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
All three markets across Polymarket and Kalshi resolve based on the official match outcome (win, loss, or draw) within 90 minutes plus stoppage time on April 16, 2026, with consistent handling of postponements and cancellations.
Primary resolution logic:
Official statistics from CONMEBOL Libertadores governing body or event organizers; if unavailable within 2 hours post-match, credible reporting consensus may be used.
Core resolution logic:
Polymarket Draw market resolves YES if the match ends in a draw, NO otherwise; resolves YES if the match is canceled with no make-up game.
Polymarket Palmeiras Win market resolves YES if SE Palmeiras wins, NO otherwise; resolves NO if the match is canceled with no make-up game.
Polymarket Cristal Win market resolves YES if CS Cristal wins, NO otherwise; resolves NO if the match is canceled with no make-up game.
Kalshi market resolves YES for any outcome (Tie, Palmeiras win, or Sporting Cristal win) after 90 minutes plus stoppage time.
All markets remain open if the match is postponed until the game is completed.
Exactly one of the three Polymarket outcome markets will resolve YES; the Kalshi market always resolves YES.
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Match Cancellation: If the match is canceled entirely with no make-up game, Polymarket Draw resolves YES, while Polymarket Palmeiras Win and Cristal Win both resolve NO. Kalshi resolves YES regardless.
Match Postponement: If the match is postponed, all markets remain open across both platforms until the match is completed and a final result is determined.
Resolution Timing: Resolution is based on the official 90-minute result plus stoppage time only; extra time and penalties are excluded from all markets.
Timing:
Resolution occurs upon official CONMEBOL announcement of the final match result within 90 minutes plus stoppage time on April 16, 2026, or upon credible reporting consensus if official statistics are not published within 2 hours post-match.
