Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
Both Polymarket and Kalshi resolve based on the official MLS match outcome after 90 minutes plus stoppage time on April 18, 2026, with identical scope (regular play only, no extra time or penalties) and consistent handling of postponements and cancellations.
Primary resolution logic:
Official MLS Soccer statistics and governing body records, with fallback to credible reporting consensus if official statistics are not published within 2 hours of match conclusion.
Core resolution logic:
Market resolves based on the final score after 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time only.
Columbus Crew win market resolves YES if Columbus scores more goals than New England; otherwise NO.
New England Revolution win market resolves YES if New England scores more goals than Columbus; otherwise NO.
Draw market resolves YES if both teams have equal goals after 90 minutes plus stoppage time; otherwise NO.
Exactly one of the three outcome markets will resolve YES.
If the match is postponed, all markets remain open until the match is completed.
If the match is canceled with no make-up game, Columbus win and New England win markets resolve NO, and the draw market resolves YES.
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Match Postponement: If the match is postponed, all markets remain open and unresolved until the rescheduled match is completed. Resolution occurs only after the completed match.
Match Cancellation Without Makeup: If the match is canceled entirely with no makeup game scheduled, the Columbus win and New England win markets resolve NO, while the draw market resolves YES.
Scope Limitation: Resolution is based strictly on the outcome within 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. Extra time and penalty shootouts are excluded from resolution scope.
Timing:
Resolution occurs upon official MLS publication of final match statistics, or within 2 hours after match conclusion via credible reporting consensus if official statistics are delayed.
