Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
Both Polymarket and Kalshi align on the same match outcome (90 min + stoppage time), official A-League source, and identical edge-case handling (postponement, cancellation, incomplete match).
Primary resolution logic:
Official A-League statistics published on a-league.com.au; fallback to credible reporting consensus if official stats unavailable within 2 hours of match conclusion
Core resolution logic:
Over/Under markets (1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 4.5): Resolve based on combined total goals scored by both teams during 90 minutes plus stoppage time
Both Teams to Score: Resolves Yes if each team scores at least 1 goal; No if either team scores 0
Spread markets (Melbourne City -1.5, -2.5; Adelaide United -1.5, -2.5): Resolve based on goal differential; e.g., Melbourne City -1.5 resolves to Melbourne City if they win by 2+ goals, otherwise Adelaide United
Match postponement: All markets remain open until match is completed
Match cancellation (no makeup): All markets resolve 50-50
Incomplete match (started but not finished): Official final score from a-league.com.au is used
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Postponement: Markets remain open and unresolved until the match is rescheduled and completed
Cancellation without makeup: All markets resolve 50-50 (equal payout to both sides)
Incomplete match: Official final score from a-league.com.au is used as the basis for resolution, regardless of whether the match reached full 90 minutes
Delayed official statistics: If a-league.com.au does not publish final statistics within 2 hours of match conclusion, consensus from credible reporting sources may be used
Extra time and penalties: Markets resolve on 90 minutes plus stoppage time only; extra time and penalty shootouts are excluded
Timing:
Resolution occurs after the match concludes (90 minutes plus stoppage time) and official A-League statistics are published, typically within 2 hours of match end
