This market will resolve according to the team that wins Group J in the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage, scheduled for June 11-27, 2026.
If multiple teams tie as group winners, this market will resolve according to the official tiebreak procedure of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
If the World Cup group stage is cancelled, postponed after September 30, 2026, or there is otherwise no winner declared for this group within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from FIFA (https://www.fifa.com/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
All four platforms (Kalshi, Predict, Polymarket, Limitless) apply identical resolution logic: the team that finishes first in Group J per official FIFA standings and tiebreak rules wins the market.
Primary resolution logic:
Official FIFA information (https://www.fifa.com/); secondary source is consensus of credible reporting
Core resolution logic:
Resolution occurs when the 2026 FIFA World Cup Group J stage concludes and final standings are official
The team with the highest points (wins and draws) finishes first and resolves the market to Yes for that team
If two or more teams tie on points, FIFA's official tiebreak procedure (goal differential, goals scored, head-to-head record, etc.) determines the group winner
Only one team can win Group J; markets on individual teams (Argentina, Austria, Algeria, Jordan) resolve Yes for the winner and No for all others
Polymarket includes an 'Other' option for scenarios where no winner is declared
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Tied Group Winners: If multiple teams finish with identical records, FIFA's official tiebreak procedure applies in this order: goal differential, goals scored, head-to-head points, head-to-head goal differential, head-to-head goals scored, and fair play points. The team ranked highest by these criteria is declared the group winner.
Group Stage Cancellation or Postponement: If the World Cup group stage is cancelled or postponed beyond September 30, 2026, markets resolve to 'Other' (where applicable) or remain unresolved pending official FIFA guidance.
No Winner Declared: If no group winner is officially declared by FIFA within the specified timeframe, markets resolve to 'Other' or per platform's default contingency.
Resolution Timing: Resolution occurs immediately after the final Group J match concludes and official standings are published by FIFA, typically within 24 hours of match completion.
Timing:
Resolution occurs upon completion of all Group J matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage (scheduled June 11-27, 2026) and official publication of final standings by FIFA
