Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
Both Polymarket and Kalshi apply identical resolution logic: each market resolves YES if its specified outcome occurs (Alverca win, Arouca win, or draw) within 90 minutes plus stoppage time on April 24, 2026, with consistent postponement and cancellation rules across platforms.
Primary resolution logic:
Official statistics from Liga Portugal (the governing body for Portuguese professional soccer) as recognized by the event organizers, with fallback to consensus of credible reporting if official statistics are not published within 2 hours of match conclusion.
Core resolution logic:
Exactly one of the three mutually exclusive outcomes will resolve YES: FC Alverca wins, FC Arouca wins, or the match ends in a draw.
Resolution is based solely on the result within 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, excluding extra time and penalties.
If the match is postponed, all markets remain open until the match is completed.
If the match is canceled with no make-up game, Polymarket markets for Alverca and Arouca wins resolve NO, while the draw market resolves YES; Kalshi markets all resolve YES (as any outcome is technically satisfied by cancellation).
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Match Cancellation: Polymarket and Kalshi handle cancellation differently: Polymarket resolves Alverca/Arouca win markets to NO and draw market to YES; Kalshi resolves all three outcome markets to YES. This creates a logical divergence in the cancellation scenario.
Postponement: If the match is postponed, all markets on both platforms remain open until the match is completed and a result is determined.
Resolution Source Timing: Primary resolution uses official Liga Portugal statistics; if not published within 2 hours of match conclusion, credible reporting consensus may be used as fallback.
Timing:
Resolution occurs upon official announcement of the final match result by Liga Portugal within 2 hours of match conclusion, or upon consensus of credible reporting if official statistics are delayed.
