Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
Both Polymarket and Kalshi use identical resolution logic based on the official final score from CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation) within 90 minutes plus stoppage time, with consistent threshold definitions for spread markets and over/under totals.
Primary resolution logic:
Official final score published on cbf.com.br (Brazilian Football Confederation); secondary source is consensus of credible reporting if CBF does not publish within 2 hours of match conclusion.
Core resolution logic:
Spread markets resolve based on goal differential: EC Bahia (-1.5) resolves YES if Bahia wins by 2+ goals; Santos FC (-1.5) resolves YES if Santos wins by 2+ goals; EC Bahia (-2.5) resolves YES if Bahia wins by 3+ goals; Santos FC (-2.5) resolves YES if Santos wins by 3+ goals.
Over/Under markets resolve based on combined goals: O/U 1.5 resolves OVER if combined total is 2+; O/U 2.5 resolves OVER if combined total is 3+; O/U 3.5 resolves OVER if combined total is 4+; O/U 4.5 resolves OVER if combined total is 5+.
Both Teams to Score resolves YES if each team scores at least one goal; resolves NO if either team scores zero goals.
All markets reference only the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, excluding extra time and penalties.
If the game is postponed, markets remain open until completion. If the game is canceled with no make-up, all markets resolve 50-50.
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Game Postponement: If the match is postponed, all markets remain open and unresolved until the game is completed. Resolution then occurs based on the final score of the rescheduled match.
Game Cancellation: If the game is canceled entirely with no make-up game scheduled, all markets in the group resolve 50-50 (split evenly between YES and NO outcomes).
Incomplete Match: If the game is started but not completed (e.g., abandoned), resolution is based on the official final score published by CBF for the portion played.
Secondary Resolution Source: If CBF does not publish official final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting sources may be used as the resolution basis.
Timing:
Resolution occurs upon publication of the official final score by CBF (cbf.com.br) or within 2 hours after match conclusion via consensus credible reporting. All markets reference the score at the end of 90 minutes plus stoppage time only.
