Description
This market refers to the Counter-Strike Upper bracket final match between Vitality and Team Falcons in the IEM Rio Group A, initially scheduled for April 15 at 2:00PM ET.
This market will resolve to "Vitality" if Vitality win the match against Team Falcons.
This market will resolve to "Team Falcons" if Team Falcons win the match against Vitality.
If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50.
If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins.
If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50.
The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence.
In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.
Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
Kalshi and Polymarket both resolve all markets based on the official HLTV.org source, with identical logic for match outcomes, map results, kill/round counts, and series completion rules. Both platforms apply the same 7-day delay threshold, forfeit/walkover treatment, and 50-50 resolution for canceled or incomplete matches.
Primary resolution logic:
Official information from https://hltv.org; if HLTV has not published final results within 2 hours after event conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting (including video evidence) may be used instead.
Core resolution logic:
Match winner (Polymarket) resolves to the team that wins the BO3 series; forfeits/walkovers/disqualifications before match start resolve 50-50, but forfeits/walkovers during or after match start resolve to the winning team.
Series total maps (Kalshi 'Over 2.5' / Polymarket 'Games Total O/U 2.5') resolves Over/Yes if 3 or more maps are played; Under/No if fewer than 3 maps are played. Forfeits/walkovers/defaults count if match is completed.
Map handicap markets (VIT -1.5 / FAL -1.5) resolve based on map differential: Vitality wins if Vitality wins 2+ more maps than Team Falcons; Team Falcons wins if Team Falcons wins 2+ more maps than Vitality. Forfeited/defaulted maps count toward the differential if match is completed.
Individual map winners (Map 1, Map 2) resolve to the team that wins that specific map; if the map is not completed for any reason, resolves 50-50.
Odd/Even Total Kills (Map 1, 2, 3) resolves Odd if combined kills across both teams is odd, Even if even. Team kills and self-inflicted deaths do not count. If map is not played or not completed, resolves 50-50.
Odd/Even Total Rounds (Map 1, 2, 3) resolves Odd if combined rounds won by both teams is odd, Even if even. If map is not played or not completed, resolves 50-50.
All markets resolve 50-50 if: match is canceled entirely, match is delayed beyond 7 days from scheduled date without play beginning or completion, match ends in a tie, or match begins but is not completed due to forfeit/disqualification/walkover (except map winner and series winner markets, which resolve to the winning team if the match is completed).
If a map is remade, resolution is based on the remade game only.
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Clinching Map Forfeited: If the match ends due to the clinching map being forfeited (e.g., Team A wins 2-0, but Map 3 is forfeited), this counts as a completed match for series and handicap markets. Map 3 specific markets (winner, kills, rounds) resolve 50-50 if Map 3 is not played.
Match Begins But Not Completed: If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to opponent forfeiture/disqualification/walkover: the match winner market resolves to the winning team, but series total maps and handicap markets resolve 50-50. Individual map markets resolve based on completed maps only.
7-Day Delay Threshold: If the match is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date (April 15, 2026 at 2:00 PM EDT) without a winner determined or play beginning, all markets resolve 50-50.
Team Name Discrepancies: Minor name discrepancies (abbreviations, sponsor tags, regional identifiers, formatting differences) are treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly identified. If a listed name has no reasonable connection to any participating team or could refer to multiple teams ambiguously, the market resolves 50-50.
HLTV Publication Delay: If HLTV.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting (including video evidence) may be used as the resolution source instead.
Timing:
Resolution occurs upon official publication of match results by HLTV.org or, if HLTV delays beyond 2 hours post-event, upon consensus of credible reporting. Map-specific markets resolve upon completion of that map. Series markets resolve upon completion of the entire BO3 match or upon determination that the match will not be completed.
