Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
Both Polymarket and Kalshi use identical resolution logic: the market resolves based on the official match outcome after 90 minutes plus stoppage time on April 25, 2026, with consistent handling of postponements and cancellations across all three outcome markets (Montreal win, New York City win, draw).
Primary resolution logic:
Official statistics from MLS Soccer (mlssoccer.com) as recognized by the governing body, with fallback to consensus of credible reporting if official statistics are not published within 2 hours after match conclusion.
Core resolution logic:
Montreal win market resolves YES if CF Montréal wins the match after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, NO otherwise.
New York City win market resolves YES if New York City FC wins the match after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, NO otherwise.
Draw market resolves YES if the match ends in a draw after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, NO otherwise.
Exactly one of the three markets will resolve YES (mutually exclusive outcomes).
Resolution is based on regular play only; extra time and penalties are excluded.
If the match is postponed, all markets remain open until the match is completed.
If the match is canceled with no make-up game, Montreal and New York City win markets resolve NO, and the draw market resolves YES.
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Match Postponement: If the game is postponed, all markets remain open and unresolved until the match is completed on a future date.
Match Cancellation Without Make-up: If the game is canceled entirely with no make-up game scheduled, the Montreal win and New York City win markets resolve NO, while the draw market resolves YES.
Resolution Source Timing: Primary resolution uses official MLS statistics. If official statistics are not published within 2 hours after match conclusion, resolution may use consensus of credible reporting sources.
Timing:
Resolution occurs upon official publication of the final match result by MLS Soccer or credible reporting consensus within 2 hours after match conclusion.
